01 Project Background
SupRUCCI is a U.S.-based manufacturer specializing in precision instruments. Operating under a multi-variety, small-batch, assemble-to-order production model, the company has extremely high demands for the precision and timeliness of material supply. In recent years, with continuous business expansion and the addition of three new high-end instrument production lines, this project aims to deliver an intelligent upgrade to its line-side warehouse.
02 Project Pain Points

Challenges in Refined Inventory Management
High-end instruments involve a vast array of components, many of which are high-value, small-sized materials. Traditional inventory counting is time-consuming, fails to provide real-time data synchronization, and is prone to management chaos due to the small size and similarity of materials, making material flow traceability impossible and hindering inventory turnover and issue troubleshooting.
Difficulty Meeting High-Precision Sequential Supply Requirements
Production lines have stringent requirements for the sequence and accuracy of component delivery. Under the traditional model, manual verification relies on paper documents. With a large number of SKUs, including over 200 highly similar precision parts, the daily picking error rate reaches 5.8%, resulting in 8–10 instrument reworks per month. High rework costs, combined with the need for re-inspection of returned products, significantly extend order delivery lead times.
Misalignment Between Materials and Production Rhythm
Insufficient automation prevents real-time linkage between manual warehouse patrols and production progress. Material restocking and new material putaway are labor-intensive and time-consuming. To avoid disrupting production, dedicated night shifts are often scheduled, further increasing labor expenses.
03 Project Solution & Outcomes

Efficient and Accurate Order Picking
By deploying the Cube Warehouse System, each tote in the warehouse is assigned a unique identification code. Robots precisely grasp totes containing specified materials, achieving a picking accuracy rate of 99.9%.
Accelerated Inventory and Supply Operations
Robots replace manual labor for material putaway, reducing the time per batch from 3 hours to 20 minutes. Full warehouse inventory checks are completed hourly, with real-time data synchronization, eliminating the time delays and data lags of traditional methods and improving inventory turnover and troubleshooting efficiency.
Reduced Labor Dependence
The system eliminates the need for manual picking, warehouse patrols, and paper document verification. Dedicated night shifts to avoid production disruptions are no longer required, resulting in significant labor cost savings.
04 Customer Value
This intelligent upgrade of the line-side warehouse is a critical step for SupRUCCI to address business expansion and evolving production needs. It directly resolves core pain points including difficult inventory management, inaccurate supply, and high labor costs. The solution not only improves internal operational efficiency but also shortens order delivery cycles and enhances customer satisfaction. It strengthens the company’s supply chain foundation for sustained growth in high-end precision instrument manufacturing and reinforces its competitive advantages.
