Project Background

TechForge, a well-known PCB manufacturing enterprise located in southern China, has multiple production bases and is committed to the production and manufacturing of printed circuit boards. Our products are widely used in various fields such as smartphones, automobiles, security, laptops, and healthcare. While pursuing unparalleled quality and precision, TechForge has been exploring how to improve production efficiency and optimize parts management processes. Faced with the increasingly complex and refined requirements of electronic component management, traditional warehouse management methods are no longer able to meet the requirements of modern production. The customer has planned four areas on site: material storage area, cutting area, quality inspection area, and warehouse storage area. The warehouse storage area covers an area of 800 square meters. In this context, TechForge has devoted itself to creating an intelligent warehouse specifically designed for electronic components.

Challenges and Solution

TechForge's products are mainly used in fields such as smartphones, automobiles, security, laptops, healthcare, etc. The demand in these industries fluctuates greatly and is difficult to predict, especially when global supply chains are disrupted or economic fluctuations occur. TechForge iterates new products every six months, which means that the product lifecycle is usually short and old products quickly become outdated. TechForge needs to flexibly adjust production plans to reduce inventory backlog caused by product obsolescence.


The total area of TechForge's factory is 25000 square meters, and the cost of land use is increasing by 10% annually. Due to the increase in land costs, TechForge needs to increase product prices by 5% to maintain profit margins. The environmental requirements for semiconductor warehouses are high, requiring a ventilated, clean, and non corrosive storage environment.



Advantages of The Plan

● High density storage:

At present, the TechForge project warehouse covers an area of 800 square meters. TechForge can flexibly expand warehouse area, adjust the layout design of warehouse storage and production areas to adapt to market changes. At present, TechForge has deployed 5 LeBao robots and warehouse staff to achieve efficient management of production spare parts. Space utilization improvement: With the adoption of cube storage technology, the space utilization rate has increased to over 95%. This means that in a warehouse of the same area, cube warehouse technology can store 4 to 6 times more goods.


● Improve management efficiency:

Improved access speed: Before the introduction of the cube warehouse, the average time for manually accessing metal parts was 5 minutes per time. After the implementation of the cube warehouse system, the average access time was reduced to 1 minute per session, and efficiency was improved by 80%. Decreased operational error rate: The error rate of traditional manual operations is 2%, while the cube warehouse system reduces the error rate to 0.1%.
